CATERING AND FOOD HYGIENE: There is a sign-up sheet in the bird cage for anyone wishing to do the food hygiene course. This course will be essential for you if you use the church kitchen in any capacity and is also available to anyone else wishing to participate.

BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER EVENT: A cream tea and prayer time for all teachers and staff will be held on Tuesday 31st August from 4pm-6pm at St. John’s, Meads. For full details and booking information please see the poster on the notice board.

J21:12 MEN’S BREAKFAST: Saturday 4th September – Please come along and join as we share fellowship and a full English breakfast and hear thoughts from Terry McFadden. 8am Start finish by 9.45am – All men welcome.

SPONSORED WALK FOR TEARFUND: This is planned for Saturday 18th September. Starting at 10.30am from Birling Gap. The walk follows a 10 mile circular route with a lunch stop – this is not a race and you do not have to walk further than you want. Walkers please collect sponsorship forms from Barry Mansergh. All walkers are welcome to take part. This is an excellent opportunity for getting to know other members of the congregation.

PRIME TIME: Wednesday 8th September. 12.30pm Lunch (Please put your names on list at back of Church). At 2.30pm Walter and Val Martin will be sharing 'Some Martin Memories in Pictures' - anyone and everyone is welcome to come and join us. 'Thought for the Day' and tea and homemade cakes - see you there!

FUNERAL: The funeral for Roy Kelly will be held here at All Saints’ at 2pm on Monday 13th September. Please do continue to remember Marie and family in your prayers.

PAKISTAN FLOOD DISASTER: Over £1000 has been sent to Tearfund from the congregation for disaster relief. Thank you all who have contributed. Please mark envelopes with any further donations 'Tearfund for Pakistan Flood disaster'.

FOLLOWING JESUS: A course in Christian Faith and Discipleship. A 26 session course beginning in September. Pick up a leaflet with full details and booking form from the back of church.

SILENCE – AVOID OR ENJOY: An Eastbourne Deanery morning at St. Michael's Church on Saturday 16th October 10am - 12.30pm with Revd. Roger Crosthwaite considering how we can use silence to grow in our spiritual lives. Full details on the poster in the Narthex.

HARVEST CREAM TEA: Saturday 2nd October. All Saints' will be open from 10.30am - 12pm and from 3pm - 4.30pm. Beautiful Harvest flowers will be on display and our Organist David Woodward will be playing a selection of his favourite pieces. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy all is on offer. Do come along and bring your friends.

ALPHA: The new Alpha course will begin here at All Saints’ on Wednesday 6th October. This is an excellent opportunity for non Christians and new Christians alike to discover more about the Christian faith. Please pray for this venture.

SAINTS' TOGETHER & FRIENDS: A future date for your diary. Have you ever attended the Lord Mayor's Show in London? If not you have an opportunity of joining the fun of the show on Saturday 13th November. It is an open air event in the centre of the City. There will be time for
sightseeing (or shopping) too. A coach will be leaving from All Saints' approx 8.00am. The cost will be about £15 for travel. Further details from Jane Schulze.
